CEO of major Democrat funding group ActBlue pleads the 5th on election finance frauds | Eastern NC Now
foreign funding is major target
The major Democrat funding organization ActBlue has been under fire for corrupt campaign finance practices. Its CEO, Regina Wallace-Jones, was called before a Congressional Committee investigating those matters, and she repeatedly pled the 5th amendment to every question that was asked of her.
Wallace-Jones pled the 5th 22 times. ActBlue employees had pled the 5th amendment 126 times in earlier testimony when other employees had been subpoenaed.
During the 2024 campaign, it was admitted that ActBlue accepted gift cards and preloaded debit cards purchased in foreign countries for political contributions to Democrat candidates. Foreign contributions to federal candidates and most state candidates is a violation of criminal law. Once this activity was revealed, ActBlue claimed to stop doing it but never denied it had been doing it prior to it becoming publicly known.
Congressman Jim Jordan pointed out that ActBlue's entire legal team had resigned since this information became public, and that at least $38 million in contributions had links to foreign contributors.
ActBlue funnelled $3.5 Billion to Democrat candidates in 2024.
ActBlue is also well known for the practice of "smurfing" where they take money from an unidentified source, and report it as multiple small contributions, using names of people who have no idea that they are listed as political contributors. There are now civil lawsuits pending for identity theft from people who ActBlue listed as contributors without their permission to cover for actual contributions from others.

the real question is - When are these crooks going to be indicted and shut down?
