one more way that illegal aliens raised living costs for Americans
Various reports have detailed how the mass migration of illegal aliens, particularly the huge numbers under Biden, have raised the cost to American citizens for lots of things including medical care and automobile insurance. Now the Dallas district of the Federal Reserve Bank has added another one, housing costs.
The report issued by the Dallas Red studied the "boom period" of Biden's open borders from 2021 to 2024. It found that during this period, illegal immigration was responsible for 30% of the increase in home sales prices and 20% of the increase in rents.
The report also found that mass migration adversely impacted the labor market for Americans.
