Senator Jim Banks has introduced legislation to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens by deeming them children of invaders. In doing so he is playing off the separate legal opinion of Justice Kavanaught, one of the four justices who argeed for the original meaning of the 14th amendment, whose authors specifically said at the time that it did NOT apply in such cases. suggested just such a workaround of the Roberts opinion. Now Senator Banks is working to make that happen.
