How a liberal Democrat mega-donor bought a Republican Congress primary in Tennessee | Eastern NC Now

the party needs to step in against these special interests

ENCNow

The more that comes out on the shock upset of conservative Congressman Andy Ogles in a Congressional primary in Tennessee, the worse it stinks.  Factors included much of the district being new to Ogles as a result of the new redistricting and that Tennessee allows non-Republicans to vote in GOP primaries, but the main factor was a last minute deluge of special interest money

The official campaigns of Ogles and his primary opponent together spent around a million dollars each.  That was dwarfed by two million dollars of last minute special interest money flooding the airwaves.  The :Invest in Tomorrow Coalition PAC, supporting the Big Wind and Big Solar special interests was the group dishing out the big bucks.

That much was known, but it gets worse.  The Invest in Tomorrow Coalition PAC was largely bankrolled by a California-based liberal Democrat mega-donor named Chris Larsen, who is CEO of the crypto company Ripple.  So Larsen has now bought himself a congressman in a Republican Tennessee district.

It gets even worse because Larsen is now looking for other places to subvert Republicans.

We in the 79th NC House district should recognize the pattern because the same thing was just done to us by big spending special interests, Big Ag with a postcard campaign and the Gambling / Casino lobby with a last minute TV blitz.

A special interest IS a special interest. We do NOT need ANY special interest buying our elected offices, whether it is Big Solar, Big Wind, the gambling lobby, or Big Ag.

Communists are wrong about breaking up Big Ag, but not everything about Big Ag is positive. Their support of illegal immigration is the most glaring, and that is something Big Ag and the DSA have in common. Big Ag going ballistic to protect the out of state chemical compnay that makes Round Up from injured North Carolinians is also pretty outrageous.

Oh, and Communists do have their own version of Big Ag. It is called a collective farm. Communists do not like small farmers, either.

CV, guess who else hates "big Ag" and wants to destroy it in the USA.
Yes, it is the Socialist/Communist and Thanksgiving hater, Miss Hong who is running for Governor in WI. "Breaking up Big Ag" is written in her platform.

So I am curious... how do we connect the dots between her message and yours? Are you a closet Communist? Inquiring minds want to know.

We need to get this sort of corruption out of our politics. Congressman Ogles was outspent three to one, $1 million by his opponent and $2 million by this liberal Democrat interloper from California. Now a special interest of the left owns this seat.

We saw the same thing here locally in our legislative primary, where two special interests, Big Ag and the Gambling lobby spent big bucks to buy our state House seat. Big Ag was just interested in protecting the out of state chemical company that makes the controversial RoundUp.

Our political offices should NOT be for sale to the special interests.
