Guardrails Under Pressure: Critical Issues Before the North Carolina General Assembly
by Dr. Mark Creech Director of Government Relations Return
America The North Carolina General Assembly is approaching what may be one of its final periods of activity for the 2025–2026 legislative session. Several consequential matters remain unresolved, while other measures enacted in the state budget are only now receiving the public scrutiny they deserve. Some of these issues directly affect Christian schools and ministries; others raise serious questions about protecting children by banning unregulated and dangerous recreational drugs, preserving personal privacy, maintaining alcohol-control safeguards, and respecting parental authority.

by Rev. Mark CreechRevMarkCreech.org
“Thou shalt not kill” forbids the deliberate and unjust taking of innocent human life. Yet Christ teaches that the evil addressed by this commandment begins before blood is shed. A Well-Intentioned Law That Threatens the Independence of Christian Schools
by Dr. Mark Creech Director of Government Relations Return
America Christian schools share North Carolina’s concern about students struggling with depression, emotional distress, or suicidal thoughts. Protecting vulnerable young people is not a partisan issue, issue, and Christian educators take it seriously.
When Delay Becomes a Decision on Intoxicating Hemp
by Dr. Mark Creech Director of Government Relations Return
America On Tuesday, the North Carolina House left House Bill 328, Regulate Hemp-Derived Consumables, in the Rules Committee and off the calendar. The Senate adopted the conference report 37-6 on July 2, but the House must approve the same agreement before it can be sent to Gov. Josh Stein.
The Anvil of God’s Word

There are many arguments that can be made in defense of the Bible. We could speak of its remarkable unity—many authors, many books, written over many centuries yet presenting one great message. We could speak of its historical reliability, fulfilled prophecy, indestructibility, and worldwide influence.
