On October 5, 2015 at approximately 5:25 pm, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of a Fraud from an individual on Pirate Cove Road in Washington. The Sheriff's Office began an investigation and collected evidence.

As a result, Investigator Jim Adams applied for and obtained warrants charging Brooke Danielle Jones, age 23, of Goose Creek Road in Washington NC with one count of Forgery of an Endorsement, one count of Uttering a Forged Endorsement and one count of Obtaining Property By False Pretense.
