Commented on Washington, N.C., Deserves Better Than ThisConservative Voter. "There Be Monsters Here."
I'm beginning to think of the mass of humans as one living body, that is infected with a disease ... and it is spreading. I only have one answer and that is that the local citizens had better wake up and start paying attention, IN DETAIL, to what is happening within their local Govts ... and then, SPEAK ABOUT IT. REVEAL what you are seeing. Ask questions in a public forum. Dont let them intimidate you into silence. Go ahead, use an alias here. Its not safe to use your own name.

"Pastor" Horton Leads Council Coalition Against the Biblical Family False teacher and second-term Councilmember Glenwood Antwan Horton led another coalition with Pretend Republican Max Perreault (MR. 23% TAX MAN*) against the Nuclear Family Month proclamation, letting the motion fail. This was a simple agenda item to encourage the family structure in Washington as God intended, while not including any rhetoric against other man-made family structures that don't actually exist. Montessori schoolteacher, Zach Settewongse, a recently failed council candidate/major Horton supporter, ended an expletive-laden, satanically inspired tirade with a middle finger and "F*** you Joe Davis" Thereafter, a "thank you" was given by his former running mate, Mayor Ellen Brabo, breaking us into a 5-minute recess. Under the guise of our town's now 2nd made-up group, "The 2nd St Coalition," there was lots of biblically abused misinterpretation and what some may call damnable heresy by anoth

Commented on 6-8-26 City Council AgendaWell That was fun Stan!
I sometimes wonder if the campaign promises of some of these folks on the City Council was: "I promise to show my ass at every City Council meeting if you elect me! Tyre sure did that tonight. He brought you back to try to bait you, then scold you, and then try to embarrass you in front of the audience. Instead, he showed everyone how much he likes getting down in the dirt like a bully, the type that came to Fritz house to bully him off the Town Council. Shame on these "unprofessional" professionals!! The other council member who appears to have promised to make a petty jerk out of himself at every city meeting was Perreault. Every time he points a finger at Davis, I hope for him to find himself with 50 pointing back at him. Maybe not this month, but soon!! I see stupid people everywhere. I saw your name spelled in comments sections: Deathers, and Deatherige, etc. Too funny!

Washington is so poorly maintained, a dead body can lay next to a busy roadway in a busy business district for so long that it turns into a skeleton. But any citizens that try to suggest changes for a better Govt are routinely ignored. Remember the City of Washington just wants your bank account and for u the taxpayers to just butt-out!

"Fired Onslow County manager sues county, claims commissioners broke state law." ONSLOW COUNTY,NC. (WITN)- "The fired Onslow County manager is suing the county, saying county commissioners often broke state law. David Smitherman was fired on Feb 16 by a unanimous vote, and commissioners refused to give him more than $900,000 in severance pay, saying he was fired for cause. The govt said Smitherman was fired because he wasn’t willing to perform his duties. "The former manager claims he never refused to carry out lawful duties, “but did object to actions or directives of the Board that violated NC law.” The suit says commissioners routinely attempted to use their govt for personal, business, or political gain. Would Beaufort County teachers support our females?
"Complaint Sparks US Dept of Education Title IX Investigation into NC School District WASHINGTON, DC – May 13, 2026, America First Legal (AFL) filed a formal complaint with the US Dept of Ed and the US Dept of Justice, alleging that policies enacted by Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) in Concord, NC, violate Title IX, FERPA, and the US Constitution. The Dept of Ed’s Office for CivilRights (OCR) announced that it launched an investigation in response to AFL’s complaint. AFL’s complaint exposed CCS’s policies permitting “gender expansive and transgender students” to access sex-segregated intimate facilities based on “gender identity” rather than biological sex. One female student attending Cox Mill High School raised concerns during a public school board meeting that a biological male student “identifying” as female participated on the girls’ football and basketball cheer teams and used the girls’ locker rooms & restrooms."

(WITN) - "A new county manager has been sworn in to serve Beaufort County, a month before County Manager Brian Alligood is set to retire from the seat on June 30. Tim Corley was sworn in Monday night, bringing with him 28 years of experience in government, working in the western part of the state in the City of Gastonia, and in Eastern Carolina with the City of Greenville, and in Pitt County as a deputy county manager. Commissioners who voted against hiring Corley previously expressed concern because he would not be required to live in Beaufort County and would be allowed to work a second job in addition to the new role." == I suppose all WeThePeople can do is HOPE! • "Trump's $50B rural health bet meets a HEALTHCARE DESERT in North Carolina (northcarolinahealthn ews.org) — Greenville's ECU Health Medical Center is straining under surging ER demand as nearby Martin County's hospital closure forces more rural patients into the city's only Level 1 trauma center east of Raleigh. Local leaders and ECU Health executives are lobbying for funding, but say Trump's new $50 billion rural health program won't reopen Martin General or quickly ease Greenville's long ER wait times." +++++ Why would any thinking human choose to relocate to a Regional HEALTHCARE DESERT such as we have here locally? Is the plan to eliminate most humans in coastal NC? Let us die off for lack of medical care, and tax to death the rest of the humans here.

Commented on Beaufort County Government’s Bad Budget DecisionsWhen the school Admin asked for more of our money for playground equipment, no one told us what kind of equipment they would buy.
I say all that is needed is a wide assortment of balls, jump ropes, some organized games, maybe some hula-hoops, and the game hopscotch, drawn in the dirt. AND, while speaking of dirt, maybe a huge pile of it so they can play king of the hill. A study was done about what kids w TV wanted for Christmas and what those w/out TV wanted. Those w TV wanted expensive toys & gadgets, while those w/out TV just wanted simple things like crayons and a coloring book. Which child is more healthy? Some Govt folks just like to spend our money! Easy come, easy go!

Well, I've noted that those we elect come from the voter list, and they sure are stupid. For example Tandy Dunn, voted with the Dems to hire our new part-time county manager. Is that really the best we can do? And do we really have to pay them more than a Senator or a State Attorney General??? And was that really a county employee talking shit to Commissioner Hood at this recent commissioners meeting? We need a Purge!

There are NO Primary Care doctors. Only walk-in clinics. Why would anyone want to live here? I asked a local nurse about possible doctors (she knows I live in Washington). Her reply was she thinks there is a doctor in Belhaven that might still be taking patients. I said it would be easier to go to Greenville. So... HEY County Commissioners I'd say this is a major problem preventing growth locally. What are yu going to do about THAT!!

He also has a pinball machine venture were he buys, restores and resells machines. He said the county commissioners and citizens of Beaufort County will have to trust him that he will make the Beaufort County manager’s position his priority. The new county manager’s base pay will be $200,000 annually. With his county paycheck and his other side enterprises, hopefully he will invest in a Bill’s Hot Dog or Mom’s Cheese Biscuit for lunch and breakfast every now and then, Commissioner Booth." Commented on Beaufort County Budget, Increased SpendingTim Corley was hired to be the new county manager of Beaufort County. The commissioners voted 4 to 3 to hire Corley, a former deputy county manager in neighboring Pitt County.
Corley starts June 1, 2026. The three commissioners that voted against Corley were Hood Richardson, Stan Deatherage and Ed Booth. The opposing commissioners had no issues with the new hire’s qualifications but had an issue with Corley’s insistence he would remain living in Pitt County and not move to Beaufort County. Corley said his travel time to his job was probably closer than the commissioners who had an issue with his living arrangement. Booth questioned Corley’s investment in Beaufort County. Referencing it may be as little as occasionally buying his lunch in the county. Corley also said he operates other businesses he was goin to hang on to because of the income it brings in and he wasn’t going to give up the lifestyle the money helped provide. Copied from Facebook post, I will continue in post 2.

Commented on How Did Young Dems Rank Israel, Iran, And China? Why Stan? Because the world is full of angry people. From the left to the right, NO ONE SEES US! We are just bank accts to the users/takers.
Angry people need someone to blame, and some to hate. Its happening even right here in Washington. Bad Govts lead to more anger. Here in Washington, if they are not corrupt, then they are incompetent. Both lead down the same path. By the way, Chairman Waters, u say u dont want to lock up a one-time drug dealer. Just think this, if u had locked him up, then I say his younger brother would not have picked up the same criminal life. Think MORE about the innocent in all of this!! Commented on Beaufort County Budget, Increased SpendingDrug dealers should get the death penalty, because they r murderers of our children, whole families, whole neighborhoods,& all hope. Some liberals try to argue that it is a victimless crime. They argue tht th drug user chooses to buy drugs of hs own accord. Well let me tell u Commissioners, th drug dealers operate just like advertisers on TV. They PUSH their product on the mentally damaged users. Yep, they dont wait for the user to call for th drug, they will actually market to th user. They call & say to th addict using their best salesman's voice: Hey man I've got some Good stuff! You'll like it, its GOOD! I'll even give u a taste 4 free because I'm yur friend. Call me b4 its all gone. Or, they will act to get an naive person addicted by givin them free hits until he's fully addicted. So its in this way that it is NOT a victimless crime. That's why they call them drug-pusher. Wake up Chairman Waters! We all know that regardless, th accused always seem to get a plea deal, as Hood sd.

Commented on Reminder: Scheduled City Council MeetingSo, Beaufort County has a NEW County Manager!
www.thewashingtondailynews.com Its Tim Corley...who will continue to live in Pitt County, and keep working at a second job. Dont we deserve more? ...at last he didnt come from the DOT. Meanwhile back at the Washington battle stations on Facebook, the key-board warriors have posted a petition to remove duly elected councilman Joe Davis. At this point he must be beginning to feel like DonaldTrump, a man with a bloody target on his back. If anyone here starts to feel sorry for their selves, just look around at some of our folks who have real trials to bear. If that's not your cup of tea, look at the victimized citizens of North Korea, who are 10 inches shorter than those in South Korea, but are brained washed to sincerely believe they have a REALLY GREAT life thanks to the "Dear Leader."

Commented on Reminder: Scheduled City Council MeetingOn the subject of Mansions paying for their selves...
We all know that Kings and Queens and Nobles of Europe had to open up their Mansions and Castles to tourist to help pay for their upkeep. It is known history that those Nobles of Europe often resorted to marrying the daughters of fabulously wealthy men of America. You do what you have to do. Compromise. The question to Washington, is do yu want these beautiful old Mansions of Washington to survive or not? They can pay for themselves if we let them. Mr Rorie should assist the City govt and its citizens to try thinking "out of the box." The elitist of Washington, should try living on my street for a few days. I have to tolerate PROGRESS, they should too.

Commented on Reminder: Scheduled City Council MeetingIf Washington is a City of Hate, when/how did that happen?
Was it always here? Did the internet reveal it,or did Facebook. Facebook made it possible for birds of a feather to spread their gossip for good or bad. People living in a bubble can become very self-righteous. Why are old people, who r growing older, so upset about a glorious celebration of young people getting married, who may decide to settle down in Washington? Does that really make them miserable to witness? I say live and let live. Show a little humanity. Maybe compromise a little. Maybe one week day event and one weekend event would be fair? If some of these ppl would take a look at the conditions some of us have to accept surrounding our homes they would be ashamed of themselves for being so stingy. If these beautiful vintage homes cant b maintained then what? A future ghetto? Its possible u know...Washington isnt growing...but a welcoming attitude might b the cure. Hey City Manager, can u explain reality to th crabs.

Commented on Reminder: Scheduled City Council MeetingRegarding the City Budget. There is a Budget Public Hearing
beginning at 6:00 on May 11. Councilman Joe Davis wrote this to the citizens: HOW RESIDENTS CAN BE HEARD Davis is asking residents who support the tax reduction to attend the next Council budget meeting in person and to make their support known during public comment. “Heading to the ballot box should have been enough. It wasn’t. If you want this rate cut, the most direct way to get it is to be in the room when the vote happens. The opposition of tax decreases are always there — and they will be loud. I know most people don't have time to do this but yours is the voice this Council needs to hear.”

The only thing worse than "small town politics" in a small town, is small town politics in a big city... such as DC or Chicago 4 example. I think small town politics could be known as vicious gossip that people act on. Bureaucrats say, we have been here for decades, you politicians come and go frequently. She had to do it, unlike most of us) because she had a business to defend. So I dont blame her at all. I know that Perreault was calling for everyone to be a team player. The government is run by a bureaucracy. Department’s decide what they think is best, they set their own budgets and formulate their own recommendations." Ya'll didnt just think that the bureaucrats were going to simply rollover and play dead did ya? Divide and conquer is a good gameplan and it looks like that was played. Someone got to Perreault who promptly sided with Horton and Tyre, who (Tyre) dominated all the meetings with rig-a-ma-roll, making simple folks heads explode, and/or feeling like the world has gone mad.
