Mr. Van Zant, from what I know about politics, with this county GOP, this is no way to stock a government with the best elected leaders available.
They truly disgust me from what I read here on this publication.

After moving to Beaufort County, I essentially wanted to know how the local governments operated, especially the county government, which is by far biggest gorilla in a small room, so to speak. What I learned from that evaluation is that Stan Deatherage, along with that Hood fella, stands head and shoulders above all the rest, therefore, Commissioner Deatherage, you have my non elected endorsement similar to the one Mr. Fritz so generously awarded you in the last few days.

I applaud Commissioner Deatherage for struggling against all those folks that want big, progressive government, because, government should be more in line with the business of life, rather than the business of waste and corruption.
Good Commissioner Deatherage, you have my vote and I will tell everyone to vote the same. We just can't stand more and more of what we essentially don't need.

Dark Humor can be offensive, and that is primarily why it is often regarded as "dark humor."
I don't rightfully know who was in the wrong, or the right concerning Mr. Pretti's death defying walk into instant celebrity; but, what I do know is this truth: There will always be the Darwin Awards for individuals such as Mr. Pretti ... Never take a gun and plenty of ammunition to a street fight when your opponent is far better armed, and far better trained to use that superior ordinance than you are.

Commented on ANTICIPATIONAs one who likes to see things done right, and kept that way, I am astounded at how poorly the Beaufort County GOP is run, which is as bad, if not worse than the NC GOP, which cannot even elect a Republican governor to save their ignorant lives, here in North Carolina, when President Trump won NC three elections in a row.
Thank-you Commissioner Richardson in trying to do your part in straightening out this local mess. The spoken word is a freedom we should never take for granted.
