Beaufort County Government's General Meeting Agenda: Monday, February 1, 2010
Author: Stan Deatherage | Published: January 28th, 2010
The Beaufort County Board of County Commissioners Will Meet to Discuss the County's Business
The Government of Beaufort County meets every month for at least one General Meeting to discuss and act on the county's business. Beaufort County employs the County Manager Form of Government, which stipulates that the board of county commissioners allow the county manager to set the agenda, and bring issues before them.
This is defininitely the second slowest, least ambitious general meeting in the last number of months with the last scheduled agenda item at 7:50 PM. Last month I stated, "If Commissioner Richardson and myself had not put up a number of items for discussion, there would have been much less of a reason to meet this month." Until we start delving deep into the budget, this is about as exciting as Beaufort County's Government is going to get this month as well. I'm still here to help.
