Excellent comment Charles to show your true colors; however, I have never used the phrase, "liberal wacko", nor will you find that phrase used, by me, in all of the more than 30,000 pages that constitutes BCN.
You can discover that truth if you employ the Search feature of our date base. Tonight, at a Beaufort County Commissioner meeting, I listened to a number of people, who lean very Left, say stuff that just was not right, some of it outright lies. Why is it that is so often the norm with the those that champion the Left way of governing and the advocacy of such? Why is it that they just can't get it right; just say things, thinking that others will think them accurate, maybe even wise, just because they possess the temerity to ingratiate themselves in public. I say a lot of things, all publicly, and I'm not fond of, nay, I do ridicule, with impunity, those that are incompetent and dishonest. I just won't tolerate this behavior from public servants, who are elected to serve by other like minded individuals. Regardless, I have never used your phrase "liberal wacko". Sorry you missed your opportunity to say something profound and accurate, which your comment exhibited neither. I can't speak for Harry Meredith, Jr., but, I bet he wouldn't be offended that you accused him of being a "Conservative".

Typical conservative. No original ideas so he calls Coleman names and tells negative stories that can't be corroborated. Reminds me of Stan when he called everyone that disagreed with him a liberal wacko.

Don't think he is receiving a pension from Beaufort County he retired from the NCSHP so i would think that would be coming from the State of North Carolina. Unless Harry Meridith had 20 years of service with the BCSO he is not drawing a pension neither.

Just a reminder to all, as a slave to the sake of redundancy, if anyone wants to make a statement as a post to support your position, please put some thought in it, and send the post to me by private message on BCN, and I'll post it.
We average about 9,000 readers a day; best in Beaufort County. Yesterday, we served about 13,000 readers, and on a Sunday, the slowest day of the week. Must be Harry's post.

Well, I guess that is what makes the world go around...people seeing things differently.

Those are by far the most important paragraphs, especially right now at this point in time. These paragraphs were what I consider extra-substantive.

There was 2 paragraphs that said something about Jordan, the rest was on Coleman and what he is doing and going to try to do! Really, all about Jordan!!!

Coleman's pocket ... hmmm. That must be a mighty big pocket.
I am many things, but not having the capacity to understand what I read is not one of them. In fact, I've made a living understanding the written word, and understanding it about as deep as it can be understood, searching for the theme, every nuance of every story. What I commented on earlier is that the news from this piece is more about Sheriff Alan Jordan, and not as much about Candidate Ernie Coleman.

I did not get out of this that Meredith was accusing Coleman of padding his income. He was just flat out saying Coleman is incompetent to do the job he is running for and he is so right!!! All Coleman can do is threaten and intimidate people. I have voted Republican all my life but I will not be this time around. And maybe both of you need to reread this! You obviously did not get what was trying to be said, or maybe you both are in Coleman's pocket, too!!!

People see different things in the words of others. I get that.
However, what I gathered from this rather provocative commentary by the former chief deputy, Harry Meredith Jr., was his reveal of the current sheriff, Alan Jordan.

Meredith is accusing Coleman of padding his income. He's retired and receiving a pension from Beaufort County. I think it's the kettle calling the skillet black. o
