Early Morning non Political Rant

I think we are in agreement about the President's ability to adapt. The big test will be the immigration and Gun issue. His seems to have a reasonable approach for DACA immigrants who are here illegally through no fault of their own. There must be a middle ground somewhere between let all illegals vote and deport all illegals. Our system is and has been broke for quite some time and many have taken advantage of it including so called law abiding citizens who hire "Day workers for cash" for landscaping.

The Gun issue will require a reasonable review of background checks instead of a knee jerk ban them all reaction or let em all have one reaction.

It just requires a reasonable discussion without throwing pejoratives around. I also wonder what happened to the Democratic response memo. I have not heard much about it lately.

Yeah they were divided.

Only in war time can the parties come together, and now, the Democrat"ic" party only for a very short while (remember Viet Nam near the end)

Trump has surprised me with his ability to adapt, and what is more important is his work ethic. He is making a difference.

You could very well be correct. My observation is that Trump, ever the deal maker, has no core political or philosophical principles but has tapped into the frustration of the tea party movement and for the time being is singing their tune. He is not the pied 'pied piper' leading the parade but merely what my dad used to call a "Grand-stander" who happened to stumble in front of the parade. Like any good drum major he attracts the attention of the crowd because he has learned the tune but is not playing it. He is just mimicking it.

I would suggest he is merely reflective rather than transparent, but for the time being his is accomplishing what no other politician has been able to do. Namely began to reign in the over reach of government. As long as he keeps heading in that direction, I will be happy and I would agree that his tweaking of the press is very transparent to all but them.

Diane's recent article pretty much sums up my estimation of our political parties today but the parties of Adams and Jefferson were just as divided and just as corrosive to mutual agreement. Perhaps this experiment of Self Government really has a sunset on the horizon.

I will argue that the President is extremely transparent, but, dishes up stuff to really mess up the partisan Democrats.

Just off the top of my head without deep research, I have only found three completely transparent people in the National government. Rand Paul, Trey Gowdy and Bernie Sanders. You can pretty much set you clock by what their take will be on almost any issue. I puts most of the rest in the 'Weather Vane' category.

I am not a big advocate of the semantics of Democrat and Republican this or that; however, often one has to use those words in describing the events of the day.

I do use the descriptor core Democrat, only because, when I ran for office in so many campaigns, many Democrats voted for me. I have long been at that clarion point when I would ever talk a Democrat or Independent into becoming a Republican.

It would only matter if we closed our party primaries to just that party. Otherwise, I refer to most individuals with descriptors to better serve as adjectives of their behavior. When I call one Stupid, I really mean it as truth.

I have no problem believing that it is "conceivable" that someone in the Trump campaign up to and including Trump colluded with the Russians. In the absence of facts, however, both the Democrats and Republicans are throwing snow balls at each other.

What is inconceivable to me is that anyone believes that the sowing of misinformation is limited solely to the Democratic or Republican party. Since I was too young to remember the events, I seem to remember from my history that a certain Republican made a big deal about Russians interfering with the governing of the USA and he was soundly chastised for his over exuberance.

The one thing I will note though, is that the when the Special Counsel starts throwing snow balls they will be rocks covered in snow and maybe we should all just wait for that.

Once again, B.T. puts the rest of us on notice.

Great points B.T. on what constitutes a patriot, and what does disqualifies others - understanding and advocating the absolute truth.
