Martin Luther King set the standard when he said that people should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Today's "progressive" left just does not get it.

Leftism is when Commissioner Randy Walker voted to remove the Confederate monument from Arlington National Cemetery. It matters not which side you may take in that ware. It matters that Walker voted Left.

What the current American and European left is promoting is just a rehash of Mao's Cultural REvolution, a War on History and culture. The current American and European left are full blown Maoists. BLM is one of those Maoist groups, and curiously even attack monuments to anti-slavery leaders like Lincoln in the US, and the Prime Minister who abolished slavery in the UK, Earl Grey, as well as Queen Victoria, who send the Royal Navy to stamp out the Atlantic slave trade.
George Orwell had a couple of quotes that bear on this subject: "The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history." "The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth." "So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don't even know that fire is hot."
