Comments for DOGE for Beaufort County Government

To borrow a big phrase from this salient plan originating at the federal level, under President Trump's watchful eye, whose time has finally arrived, even here in the mispent realm of Beaufort County government(s).

Daniel was the only prophet ever mentioned by Jesus when he spoke about the future.

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Daniel 12:4

-Noah built an ark (first ship)
-For thousands of years this was the way to travel the world, by boat.
-200 years ago we got the steam engine and the Industrial Revolution.
-in the past 100 years we have planes, trains, rockets.

Now 4 billion people fly annually. (Many shall run to and fro)

Now we have internet and worldwide telecommunications (knowledge shall be increased)

According to the British media, the DOGE committees set up by the UK's Reform Party in the ten local governments it won absolute control of, they have already identified over 40 million pounds sterling of fraud and waste related to climate alarmism in local government budgets, and although the numbers haven't been totaled up yet, it appears they are likely to come up with just as much related to illegal immigration. They have found a lot of outrageous local government spending on illegal aliens.

Where Reform has to work with the Conservative Party for control of a number of other local governments, the process of setting up DOGE committees has been slower, but there is a lot of potential there, too.

Conservative Voter: Your summary in estimation could be the case on all counts; however, in the final analysis, the Center-Left /Left Coalition ("Gang of 4") would have been far better off to have voted in unanimous consent for DOGE for Beaufort County Government.

My 2nd option - DOGE for Beaufort County Governments - may be a bit more politically unwieldy for them to handle as conveniently as they have become accustomed to. DOGE for Beaufort county Governments is a real entity that began in formation on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, and has an obligation to serve from 6 of the 7 committee members, with a big handful of Beaufort County's best governing minds serving in reserve as is needed.

There must be something out that which scares the daylights out of that gang of four. The way I understand the way the DOGE committee would have been set up, the Gang of 4 could have appointed a 4-3 majority of it and thus have a veto on what was in its report. Why is that not good enough for them? The only thing I can think of is that they know of something bad enough where the content of the report will not matter, that just the fact that it is brought out would be devastating to them. The trick is going to be finding it, now that the county bureaucracy will be trying to stall and block. But the Gang of 4's behavior at the commissioner meeting is a strong indicator that something really bad is lurking. They just do not want it found.

Steve: For whatever reason, the Center-Left /Left Coalition voted it down in short order, after asking no reasonable questions; however, they did find the ambition to act in a rude and derisive manner to the gentleman who held the floor: Commissioner Stan Deatherage ... yours truly, me.

I will admit that their sophistic behavior did anger me since discovering "Waste, Fraud and Abuse" has always been a serious topic for me as my constituents' representative on the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners.

Furthermore, I have to admit that it frustrates me to no end that curtailing any waste, fraud and abuse has Never been of any concern to this Center-Left /Left Coalition.

The concept of DOGE is useful at all levels of government. Our GOP legislators in Raleigh have formed a DOGE operation and put our own Rep. Keith Kidwell in charge of it.

It is even being copied in other countries. In the UK, Nigel Farage's Reform Party is implementing DOGE efforts in the ten local governments they won control of this last election, and is working with the Conservative Party to implement it in local governments where Reform and Conservatives jointly have control.

DOGE has exposed what the Democrats and Deep State bureaucrats were trying to hide in Washington, DC. What is someone trying to hide in Beaufort County?

Concerned Taxpayer: What is so remarkable about this segment of the July 7th general meeting of the Beaufort County Commissioners was the terrible rude behavior of the entire Center-Left /Left Coalition, as if the RINOs, comprising that coalition, were facing Van Helsing, in the corporal form of Commissioner Deatherage, from the Dracula stories, where holy water was cast upon them, and the determined Commissioner was burning crosses into their foreheads.

Van Zant: These RINOs are an anathema to real Republicans, and the public must be informed of their long history of working hand-in-glove with the Democratic Socialists by swapping votes to share power here in Beaufort County government.

What is incredible is that the Beaufort County GOP allows this to occur unimpeded. That is what I would proclaim Gross Dereliction of Duty.

So two commissioners who claim on paper to be "Republican" are opposed to DOGE? Sounds like they are more Democrats in Drag or Undocumented Democrats. How could anyone who is a genuine Republican want to cover up waste, fraud, and abuse of tax money? Or to rely on the local deep state bureaucracy?

SD: The two commissioners you mentioned were smart enough to know they had no chance of being elected unless they changed their party registration from Democrat to Republican. So far, the public has not caught up with the charade. Time cannot be on their side. The tax bills will be coming out soon.

This motion to create a DOGE for Beaufort County failed with the three Real Republicans voting to create a DOGE Committee, and the Center-Left /Left Coalition, once again, voting in unison to end this venture to cut "Waste, Fraud and Abuse" in Beaufort County government.

I remind the public that two of the members of the Center-Left /Left Coalition, those swap votes to share power here in Beaufort County government, are registered as "Republicans."

Both were "Democratics" before they switched parties to the Republican Party, just mere months before they filed to run for elected office. Both now govern as "Democratics."
