SD: We disagree on some issues BUT we agree on two major things: "Stupid" and bizarroworld. The Beaufort County GOP is in the same shape as the national GOP; They've f-ed up, they KNOW they've f-ed up and, now, are trying to distance themselves from recent shenaniganry..mostly due to shit they've previously ignored from the people.

Both Trump and the GOP know that they don't have the support they had in nearly 2015-2016. Those voters, who are now closer to 40 than 30, have long since told everyone in politics to "go to hell" and have a good idea about how shit really goes down; they tell it like it is without bias or use of bizarrotalk.

All that is wanted by the core group of those seemingly holding a substantial amount of potential "number power" in the midterm: "The shit's f-ed and we want the public to know how f-ed up it is. Let's open public discussion and talk about real shit here, folks."

Washington NC could be the bedroom community for Greenville NC if we had a better School system. That will happen if we can elect people on our School Board that know something about MANAGEMENT. The last report that I heard was that one half of our schools are half empty. We just built a mega school for one thousand students K through third grade at the busiest intersection in town. It should have been two schools strategically located. 30 percent of our students in Beaufort County are at standard reading level. We had to fight hard to get rid of CRT because our teachers had been indoctrinated and the school board was telling the public that the state set the curriculum. We finally exposed that lie. The School Board sets the curriculum. The State has some requirements and end of grade testing. Now the State Board of Education has lowered the letter grade, so that "D" is now 40. "Hey Dad, I passed. I made a D." We need MANAGERS on or School Board.

The lockdowns, which were the huge problem, were a state by state decision, not a federal one. North Carolina followed the authoritarian path of Red China under Roy Cooper as opposed to the path of Sweden.

The somebody who claimed to never be wrong but usually was wrong was Anthony Fauci, a high level bureaucrat who was not a political appointee of Trump. Fauci was hardly MAGA, as in his diary that has been made public he wrote that he wanted Trump impeached over building the border wall.

I would be very careful selecting those that would representing my values if I was a Democratic Socialist.

Actually, it wasn't. in 2024, the country was coming out of COVID with all the problems it caused globally. During 2024 we began to recover and investments made a lot of money and things were good. When Trump took over the good times were back and investments have continued to grow. We are all making money.

IMO COVID cost Trump the 2020 election because his job required to him do what's best for the country, not him personally. He wasn't equipped to deal with a global problem like COVID and it sank him.

That my friends is the main reason I can't support him or MAGA. When things are good, they do OK, when the chips are down, they look out for themselves.

The rise of Germany's anti=immigration party is impressive but the country to watch is France. The National Rally's Marine LePen is in the drivers seat to be elected president of France next year, and then she will dissolve the National Assembly, and new elections there will give the National Rally legislative control as well. Then the mass deportation of illegal aliens kicks into gear.

Also watch the Vox Party in Spain's upcoming snap election. Fortunately in Spain, the traditional conservatives play nice with the populist anti-immigration conservatives.

Bob, under "limited voting" we only get one vote for three seats. Under that distorted system, voters CANNOT vote out their political opponents. That makes county government unaccountable and unresponsive.
