Climate science has long known of the multi-century warming and cooling cycles the Earth goes through, and the last previous warming cycle, the Medieval Warm Period, was warmer than today for several hundred years. The biggest warm period, the Holocene Maximum, was much warmer than today for three thousand years. Northing bad happened to Earth in any of the previous warm periods. Indeed humanity suffered worse in the last cooling period, known as the Little Ice Age or the Maunder Minimum.
If one actually looked at how the greenhouse effect works, it is clear that the greenhouse effect is NOT involved in current warming. If the greenhouse effect went away, the Earth would be far too cold to sustain life. All of that is explained in that British TV documentary. Like most far lefts types, you take a small piece of information and twist it into something you claimi in major but it is not.

Commented on Kidwell running for Speaker of NC HouseTim Moore as Speaker has been a continuation of his predecessor. Moore is Tillis 2.0. If we stay with the same crowd, Bell or Hall would be Tillis 3.0 It is time to break the chain and Kidwell is the only horse in the race who can do that. You can't beat his voting record in the General Assembly.

No wonder the economy is adrift and inflation is raging. And wait until their green new deal climate policies take hold and everyone sees their electric bills skyrocket.
Of course, "redistribution" is just another term for socialism, if not communism.

Commented on Five ways Ayn Rand predicted America's political crises, from parents spurned to the rise of cancel cultureBig Bob: You are a Leftist, therefore, you don't see issues beyond the shallows.
Therefore, the issue of real Authoritarianism is way over your head. Clint Eastwood, as Dirty Harry, once declared, "A man's got to know his limitations." You arguing Authoritarianism, as a Leftist, is definitely venture to the place of your limitations.

A physicist understands how all the processes involvee actually work, and can understand the fact that CO2 has never driven climate in the past and does not do so now. And the mad scientist in Sweden who invented the manmade CO2 global warming theory back in 1896 was, guest what?, a physicist. The theory had so little credibility that it was totally forgotten until someone dredged it up in 1981.
There are scientists expert on the climate and in fact who have attended the UN's climate chanage conferences who are interviewed in that British TV documentary who tear the manmade CO2 theory of global warming to shreds. The climate alarmist scientists rely on the voodoo science of computer modelling. When one sets up a computer model, they can set it up to produce whatever range of results they want. One of the sets of facts that disproves the manmade CO2 theory of global warming is the relationship between warming and the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. If CO2 caused warming, itcreases in it would precede warming, but it doesn't. Instead it does the opposite and lags substantially behind warming, meaning it is a RESULT of the warming, NOT a cause of it.

Commented on Five ways Ayn Rand predicted America's political crises, from parents spurned to the rise of cancel cultureA note to Big Bob: You are looking through the wrong end of the telescope. Trump is trying to make government smaller and less intrusive. Allow those local school boards to run their schools. Leave the Feds and the state out of it. Same on all a lot of those other touchy feely issues.

Commented on The “gay agenda”First off you were never a Pastor. You were a heretic posing as one.
Secondly, homosexuality is a sin. Jesus did associate with the outcasts of society. What he did not do was keep company with unrepentant sinners. He kept company with those who wanted forgiveness of their sins and would not commit them any more. Anyone CHOOSING to be LGBTQ (and it is a choice! A choice to SIN against God!) and being unrepentant, would not be welcome him the company of Jesus. You did not comprehend the meaning of the Bible, because the Holy Ghost does not dwell in you. 1 Corinthians 2:13,14 explains it all. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Commented on Five ways Ayn Rand predicted America's political crises, from parents spurned to the rise of cancel cultureShe nailed it, and let me tell you how: Ayn Rand knew the ways of Authoritarianism, which is the backbone of today's corrupt Democratic Socialist party, as it was the Soviet Union of her childhood.
Authoritarians always sing from the same songbook; so whether it is Communism in Russia, China, Venezuela, etc., or the Democratic Socialists here in the USA, the core motivations are the same to control human nature, and bend their collective civic spirits to the corrupt Authoritarian will of the pre-designated Elites.

And this is why internet science isn't science. The good Doctor is a Nobel Prize winner.....in theoretical physics. He doesn't "believe in climate change". A smart man for sure, but not an expert on climatology. Remember anyone can say anything. An expert on one topic doesn't make one an expert on all topics.
The internet is an amazing tool, but it will make a fool out of you if not careful.

It is a safe bet that the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Physics knows a whole lot more about this climate controversy than a far left internet troll who is given to sweeping denials of whatever contradicts the leftwing political narrative.

Cappy: There is a devil; there is too much arbitrary evil, and intrinsic corruption in this World otherwise for there not to be one, and thank God, He sent his Son to be amongst us for a short glorious to give us a fine chance at eternal salvation.
There is also a Tom Waits, one of my long time favorite singer /songwriters for nearly 5 decades now. My first memory of Songwriter Waits was "Heart of Saturday Night," which I bought and filtered into my listening queue, such as it was, with the likes of Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top.

"Stupid" may indeed be an apt term for those climate alarmist scientists who made all those outlandish claims that never came true, but given what was exposed in the Climategate emails, I think "deceptive" might be a more accurate term.
On the other hand, the scientists who exposed the lack of a sound basis for the global warming / climate change theory based on manmade CO2 are spot on.
