This Andy Wells sounds like what we do not need as governor. Dale Folwell is the clear choice for taxpayers. He has the track record as State Treasurer both on understanding and dealing with the issues and having the backbone to stand up and fight. Folwell is head and shoulders above the rest. Robinson talks a very good game, but his performance is not up to that of Folwell. Still, he would be my second choise.

Funny, 50 years ago I bet the Rev was against women/girls competing in sports. Now he wants to save women's sports (pearl clutch). I think common sense will prevail and trans women will not be allowed to compete in women only sports.

Commented on State Senate RINOs pushing for new ferry tollsThis ferry toll business would be bad for both the people and the economy of Beaufort County if it is not stopped in the legislature.
Stan, you are spot on when you call Perry "tone deaf". I checked into him when he screwed us on the Medicaid expansion, which is part and parcel of Obamacare. He is personally a multi-millionaire who in his own life does not have to worry about what things cost, so he just doesn't care about the financial burdens he places on others. He did not care that the Medicaid expansion would drive up health care costs and insurance costs for the rest of us. He does not care that the ferry tolls will be a financial burden on those who have to use the ferries daily to get to their jobs. He did not care that the Green New Deal he pushed will cause major increases in the electric bills for ordinary citizens and for small busiinesses. And Steven, you put it very mildly when you said you wished Perry would listen more to grassroots Republicans. The fact is that he does not listen at all. Perry's MO is to gather campaign money from special interests and then do their bidding in Raleigh. He had done nothing in the Republican Party when a Senate vacancy occured and Perry was looking for something to do after selling his company. He has spent no time in the party trenches and does not appreciate party activists or voters. Jim Perry is exactly the type of person that we do NOT need to be electing to public office. He does not seem to have been a major player in pushing the tolls, but he was in a position he could have fought it when it went through the Senate and failed to do so.

Commented on State Senate RINOs pushing for new ferry tollsStan, I would not call Perry "the darling of the Beaufort County GOP". He has had one major cheerleader on the ExCom. I do wish Sen. Perry would be willing to listen a lot more to the party grassroots on how he votes in Raleigh.

Tillis showed his true colors in announcing to one of the worst swamp organizations in DC instead of to voters in this state. Tillis is a spear carrier for the amnesty hounds at the US Chamber of Commerce, and ignores the opinions of NC voters on illegal immigration issues. Tillis is all for the special interests and cares nothing for the voters and the taxpayers. No one who believes in protecting America's borders should ever think about voting for Thom Tillis.
Dan Bishop is solid on fighting illegal immigration and would make a great senator.

Thom Tillis has a horrible voting record on tax and spend legislation. No way, I would consider voting for that scumbag, or for any Democrat scumbag either. On the other hand, Dan Bishop is a great congressman and would make a great senator. Run, Dan, Run.

If you are referring to the Climategate emails by the climate alarmist politicized scientists, yeah what they were doing trying to cancel any scientist with a different opinion was surely political and not real science, but that is characteristic of the climate alarmist mad scientists.
No, I am referring to the many senior scientists from prestigious institutions who were interviewed for that documentary on a major British TV network, Channel 4. You can watch it now on the internet but it was originally broadcast over the air throughout the UK. Or there is the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in physics, Dr. John Clauser who wrote: "The popular narrative about climate change reflects a dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world's economy and the well-being of billions of people"

Commented on Drugs, death and despairActually tobacco is the gateway drug. I would allow caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and
cannabis. The rest of it deserves a hard crackdown for all. Drug laws must be applied equitably.

If Tillis is the nominee again, I will have nobody to vote for in the US Senate race. I absolutely will NOT ever vote for Tillis again. I still feel unclean for having held my nose to vote for him the last time. And I will certainly not vote for a Democrat.
Tillis or a Democrat? Damn the difference. I would just sit that one out.

Little Bobbie just follows his globalist narrative and refuses to look at the real science. If he would just listen to those prominent scientists from around the world interviewed in that British TV documentary on the global warning scare, he would see the reams of scientific evidence that actively disproves the theory of manmade global warming by CO2.
And actually CO2 is beneficial. It is a necessary nutrient for plants. THe more of it in the atmosphere, the better plants grow. Eliminate it and all plants would die, soon followed by all animals once the food chain was gone.
