How to make it better:
The police force should reflect the population that they police. That includes leadership.
Better pay to attract high quality candidates.
Just like the Catholic Church needs to stop protecting pedophile priests, cops need to stop covering up for racist cops. When bad sh-t happens, cops need to be held accountable.
I’m sure others could add to my list, but in the end, we get the cops we put up with. We need to expect more.

Think of it like this. Nobody can prove tobacco causes cancer. Nobody. Yet I doubt any of you hand out cigs to your grandkids. But that is exactly what CV is doing. He has a right to do it. But is it a good thing?

Sometimes I can help them but sometimes I have to steer them in another direction because like all businesses, we have a process. I always try to be kind and get them to the right person but some, a few, struggle and demand I do what they want.
Those people end up disappointed but thete is a process to resolving all issues. Maybe the school board member wasn’t the right person. I’m sorry if you felt disrespected.

The politically far right has a tenancy to cherry pick facts that will support a narrative but this method of argument misses the nuance that is the fabric of our shared history.
Case in point. Stating diversity = anti white racism is absurd in the context of the founding of this county. yet the poster might be factually correct in a given moment in time, he/she is ignoring the bigger picture because it does not suit his/her beliefs.

Like the 2011 umbrella incident, the seniors were recently misled to believe their entire center would be repurposed into a museum rather than just the unutilized portion. You are not claiming he has a residence in your office/house, the space is not specifically rented as a domicile. It can be an office, a bedroom, whatever. Gotcha. I guess it's up to city residency requirements to determine zoning for multiple units within a dwelling or whatever. Or how much actual time s person spends in a dwelling to call it an official residence. Thank you for clearing up this matter.

(commented on September 4th, 2023 @ 9:29 am)I recall seeing the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, the Earl Scruggs Revue, and Don Maclean at The Great Southeast Music Hall in the 1970’s, as well as many of the others mentioned in the article. It was such an intimate venue. The only place I ever saw that served beer in buckets and patrons sat on a slanted, carpeted floor. To see those great musicians so close up was a rare treat.
