The daylight becomes feint, and while it is not an exceptional sunset, it is the end of the day, and it was a moment or two to remember: Above and below. photos by Stan Deatherage

I've heard it said: (After all) "tomorrow is another day." And tomorrow began with a glorious sunrise - one of the best I've ever seen: Above and below. photos by Stan Deatherage

What made the sunrise so interesting is that the clouds and the fog together came rolling in after the sun rose a bit, and instead of the thick mist blocking the view of the light and all the bright color, it just held back a bit, and provided a majestic prop for the fine first image of a new day: Above and below. photos by Stan Deatherage

To some these images of the same sunrise are an obvious redundancy; however, to myself, these pictures are but another unique view of God's most glorious moment of the new day - the sunrise: Above and below. photos by Stan Deatherage

The clouds, the mist, the clear, cold, salty air of morning lent all these properties to these remarkable images that well mark my remembrances of that remarkable sunrise. Yes, I know these pictures are small, a mere fraction of the original files, but it is the only method i have to represent why I arise so early these frosty mornings: Above and below. photos by Stan Deatherage
