The Kaminski House Museum was at one time the home of Confederate sea captain Thomas Gaddett. It was built upon a bluff and afforded Captain Gaddett a majestic view of the serpentine flow of the Sampit River. The grand home was owned subsequently by Naval Commander and Mrs. Kaminski. Upon their passing, they willed the house to the City of Georgetown. The Kaminski House is filled with antiques collected by the Kaminskis.
