Mrs. Vicky Faye Brooks Briley | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Vicky Faye Brooks Briley, age 64, a resident of Greenville, NC died Tuesday December 24, 2013 at Vidant Inpatient Hospital, Greenville, NC.

    A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday December 27, 2013 at The River Church, Bath, NC officiated by Pastor Ron Bousquet. Burial will follow in the Strawberry Lane Cemetery in the Free Union Community of Pinetown. William Ack Woolard, Wayne Everett, Tristian Jones, Zachery Woolard and Justin Keech will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at the church and other times at her home located at 3855 Aurora Drive, Greenville NC or at the home of her sister, Virginia Keech located at 7158 Free Union Church Road, Pinetown.

    Mrs. Briley was born in Wake County on June 8, 1949, daughter of the late George Lee Brooks and Esther Faye Truelove Brooks. She was a 1967 graduate of Cary High School. On September 24, 1988, she married Jarvis Eugene Briley who survives. Mrs. Briley was a homemaker and attended The River Church in Bath, NC.

    In addition to her husband, Jarvis of the home, she is survived by her sons: James Jones and wife Kim of Belhaven and Thomas Jones and fiancée Rolanda Coburn of Greenville; her daughters: Vicky B. Smith and husband Curt of Pinetown; Dawn J. Bousquet and husband Keith of Washington and Mary J. Everett and husband Wayne of Chocowinity; her brother: Mike Brooks of Ocala, FL; her sister: Virginia B. Keech of Pinetown; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandchild: Hailey Smith and her brothers: Benny Brooks and Bucky Brooks.
