Mr. Guy Adrian Peed Jr. | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Guy Adrian Peed Jr., age 58, a resident of 131 Langley Road, Chocowinity, NC, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the Veterans Hospital in Houston, Texas.

    A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday January 14, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Jason Kirkman.

    The family will receive friends 1 p.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Mr. Peed's daughter, Beth Yates located at 2988 Terripan Track Rd., Washington, NC

    Mr. Peed was born in Beaufort County on June 8, 1955. He was the son of Guy A. Peed Sr. and Nancy Elizabeth Peed. Mr. Peed served as a member of the Marine Corps. He worked as a crane operator for JV Industrial Services. He spent his free time working on classic Mopars and riding his Harley.

    Mr. Peed is survived by his wife, Sheila Diane Peed, of the home; daughter, Dawn Massey and husband Josh of Irving, TX; daughter, Beth Yates and husband Shawn of Washington, NC; his stepchildren, Cindy Turner of Huffman, TX, Ricky Erickson of Concord, CA and Christa DeWitt of Fayetteville, NC; his brother, Gary Peed and wife, Donna, of Chocowinity, NC; a step-brother; Keith Goehring and his wife Darlene of Washington, NC his grandchildren, Ayden Yates and Reagan Alligood of Washington, NC; his stepgrandson, Jordan DeWitt; his nieces, Jessica Peed of Chocowinity, NC, Sara Tippett of Scotland Neck, NC and April Weaver of Wake Forest, NC; and his nephew, Alan Taylor of Chocowinity, NC.

    Mr. Peed was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Elizabeth Peed, his father, Guy Adrian Peed Sr. and his nephew, Gary Wayne Peed Jr.
