    Lynette Payton Lawrence, 65, of 97 Peed Road Chocowinity, NC died Saturday February 8, 2014.

    Funeral Service will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 11:00am at Mt. Olive MB Church Ayden, NC. Burial will follow in Edward-Payton Cemetery Vanceboro, NC.

    Mrs. Lawrence was born in Beaufort County and was a member of the church. She graduated from Newbold High School in Ft. Barnwell, NC, Shaw University in Raleigh, NC, and Beaufort County Community College in Washington, NC.

    She is survived by her husband: Raymond Lee Lawrence Sr. of the home; her mother: Carrie Edwards Payton of Ayden, NC; two sons: Raymond Lee Lawrence Jr. of Chesapeake, VA and Gerald Wendell Lawrence of Raleigh, NC; one daughter: Michelle Annette Lawrence-Bailey of Chesapeake, VA; one sister: Emma Finch of Chesapeake, VA; two grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.

    Mrs. Lawrence will be on view Saturday 1 hour before the funeral at the church.

    Funeral arrangements are being handled by Don Brown Funeral Home, Ayden, NC.
