I have won $5,000 from the Facebook Lottery ---- NOT

    I was messaged on my chat by Vivan Louis who has a Facebook page. She said she was informing me of my winning the Lottery for $5,0000. Even sent me a certificate with Mark Zukerberg's picture on it to that effect with my name = slick.

    I quizzed her long and hard as to whether it was a scam or not. She even disclosed a hard address of 1419 Westwood Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90024-4911. Google Earth shows the building with a Katab Corp. Sign on one side and Persian Books & Music on the other--so that seemed to be a real place.

    Next was instructions to text (347) 454-1580 (she claimed it was UPS for 24 hour delivery of my money). They texted right back that a fee of $250 was required for them to send it. UH OH!!! Time to check it with the NC Attorney General's Office.

    Mr. Cooper's Secretary immediately informed me they are getting lots of these--most with a man doing the chatting to older folks and playing the game of seduction. The bad news is that they do not have the funding nor personnel to chase them down.

    I happen to have a connection with Homeland Security / Secret Service / US Dept. Of Health and Human services / Inspector General / Office of Investigations since it is a nationwide issue. I called and talked with Senior Special Agent Michael Mahabir on this. He quickly informed me they are not positioned to help catch them nor is the FBI.

    SO---since they contacted me and have my FB friends on my page, they may well be trying their scam with you = BEWARE. At this point, all I or you can do is to not waste time with them. I got enough information for a good investigation, but it's not on their priority list.

    So much for being protected from the terrorists of scamming wanting people to pay money for big lottery winnings from Facebook!!!!
