Frankie J. Bowen | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Franklin Jordan "Frankie" Bowen, age 68, a resident of 24749 NC Hwy 32 N. Plymouth, NC died Monday May 26, 2014.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday May 30, 2014 at Long Acre Chapel Christian Church Cemetery officiated by Tony Krantz.

    The family will receive friends 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday May 29, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

    Mr. Frankie was born in Beaufort County on April 8, 1946 son of the late Willie Jasper Bowen and the late Lucille Virginia Boyd. He was a 1965 graduate of Pantego High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. On October 15, 1971 he married the former Kathy Jennette Woolard who survives. Mr. Frankie was a fiber operator with Weyerhaeuser/Domtar of Plymouth, where as of June 1, 2014 he would have had forty nine years of service. He was a member of Long Acre Chapel Christian Church.

    Surviving along with his wife Kathy of the home are two daughters: Cynthia B. Brand and her husband Jason of Butner and Stephanie B. Kelly and her friend Danny Railey of Henderson; three granddaughters: Lindsay Morgan Brand and Mackenna Riley Brand of Butner and Keira Jordan Kelly of Henderson; his mother-in-law: Jennette Harris Woolard Braswell of Washington; two sisters-in-law: Debra Fraley and her husband Mike of Blounts Creek and Karen Heffley and her husband Kenneth of Bath; a brother in law: Dale Woolard and his wife Jeannie of Bath and a sister-in-law: Kaye Woolard of Washington. Mr. Frankie was predeceased by a brother Roger Bowen; a brother in law: Curtis Wayne Woolard; a sister in law Lottie Bowen and his father-in-law: Whitford C. Woolard.
