Larry G. Apple, Sr. | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Larry Gene Apple, Sr., age 67, a resident of Kinston, NC and a former resident of Jacksonville and Washington died Friday July 11, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington officiated by Rev. Jay Jones.

    The family will receive friends 6 PM to 8 PM Monday July 14, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Mr. Apple's sister, Rosa Lee Jones located at 1031 East 6th Street, Washington, NC.

    Mr. Apple was born in Beaufort County on October 1, 1947 son of the late William Robert Apple, Sr. and the late Leona Mae Norman Apple. He attended Washington High School and served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Mr. Apple was a ceramic tile installer and owner/operator of Carolina Ceramic Tile in Jacksonville.

    Survivors include three sons: Larry G. Apple, Jr. and his wife Sonya of Emerald Isle, William Kelly Apple and his wife Mary Susan of Jacksonville and Brian Keith Apple and his wife Tavia of Kinston; a brother: William Robert Apple, Jr. of Chocowinity; a sister: Rosa Lee Jones of Washington; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Larry G. Apple, Sr. Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
