College of The Albemarle in Elizabeth City will present the The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, the first production of the 2014/15 Performing Arts Center season.

    College of The Albemarle in Elizabeth City will present the The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, the first production of the 2014/15 Performing Arts Center season. Performances will be held September 11 - 14, 2014. The cast is made up of over 60 talented actors and dancers. The show is being directed by Jeffrey Emmerich, drama director and associate drama professor at College of The Albemarle in Elizabeth City. Choreographer for the production is Mariah Schierer.

    The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, carefully follows the novel by the same title written by C. S. Lewis. Four children enter a wardrobe and find themselves in the magical country of Narnia where they encounter talking fauns, wolves, beavers, dwarfs, the White Witch, and the majestic Aslan.

    Spectacular costumes, sets, lighting effects, and energetic dancing are trademarks of this Performing Arts Center production. The show is appropriate for all ages and morning, afternoon, and evening performances are scheduled.

    The Director:

Jeff Emmerich
    Jeffrey Emmerich was born in Bend, Oregon and co-owns the Rocky Hock Playhouse with his wife Gloria. He was previously head of the drama department at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN and is currently the drama director at College of The Albemarle in Elizabeth City, NC. Jeffrey appears in all Playhouse productions where he is also the stage and artistic director. He earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University. Jeffrey also earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree and is a tribal member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma
