Julia Sutton Rogers | Eastern NC Now

    Julia Sutton Rogers, 69, of Plymouth died Thursday, October 29, 2014 at her residence in Plymouth.

    Born January 31, 1945, in Beaufort County she was the daughter of the late Clyde L. Sutton and Ruth Cox Sutton and was preceded in death by her grandson, Lucas Franck. Julia was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church where she held numerous leadership positions.

    Her family includes her husband of 50 years, Wade G. Rogers of Plymouth, N.C.; daughter, Beth Rogers Franck and husband David of Florence, S.C.; son, Wayland G. Rogers, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Elizabeth City, N.C.; sister, Pamela Sutton Stallings and husband Jimmy of Edenton, N.C.; brother, Steve Sutton and wife Ellen of Elizabeth City, N.C.; grandchildren, Kassie Franck, Katelyn Franck, Hannah Rogers and Grace Rogers and many numerous nieces and nephews.

    Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 309 Washington Street, Plymouth with Reverend Jimmy Hagwood officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday following the service for visitation and dinner in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 309 Washington Street, Plymouth, N.C. 27962. The family thanks Community Home Care and Hospice for the care given Julia the last few months. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
