Andrew "Andy" Stout | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Andrew "Andy" Stout, age 72, of 335 E. 13th Street, Washington, NC, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home.

    Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Pastor Todd Parrish of First Free Will Baptist Church of Washington. Robert Womble, Jr., Thomas Womble, James Ivey, Gene Paul Edwards, Robert Fleming, and Christopher Perry will serve as pallbearers.

    Andy was born in Washington, NC on September 18, 1942 son of the late Robert "Bob" Stout and the late Alice Stoop Stout. He married Lula Radcliffe on April 14, 1963. Andy retired from the Washington City Schools as Maintenance Director. Andy loved to work in his shop making various toys for family and friends.

    Survivors include his wife Lula, two sons Richard Stout, and wife Lou of Washington, and Michael Stout of Raleigh. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Stout. Andy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and one god son, all for whom he cared for very deeply.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and at other times at the home.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, Building Fund, 901 North Bonner Street, Washington, NC 27889.
