    Mrs. Earlene Elizabeth Bright, age 61, a resident of 5480 Hwy. 264 West, Washington, died Sunday evening January 18, 2015 at her home.

    A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington officiated by Pastor Phillip Jethro. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery in Chocowinity. Charlie Cutler, Jr., Dean Taylor, Keith Manning, Polo Chavez, Gary Bright and Michael Woolard will serve as pallbearers

    Mrs. Bright was born in Beaufort County on January 9, 1954, daughter of Doris Porter Bright and the late Willie Earl Bright. She was a member of Alligood Church of God. Mrs. Bright loved to cook and enjoyed shopping for jewelry on HSN and at thrift stores.

    She is survived by her husband: Timothy Wayne Coward of the home; her daughters: Julia Coward Edwards and husband Barry Edwards, Jr. of Oak Ridge, and Shanna Coward Campbell and husband James Campbell of Washington; her mother: Doris Porter Bright of Chocowinity; her sisters: Carol Woolard of Washington, Gloria Bright Vick of Chocowinity, Brenda Bright Coward and husband Danny of Chocowinity; her grandchildren: Shane Carter of Washington, Brooke Edwards and Max Edwards both of Oak Ridge. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother: Michael Earl Bright.

    The family will receive friends 10:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the service on Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington and other times at the home of her daughter, Shanna Campbell located at 5514 Hwy. 264 West, Washington, NC.
