News Release:

    Good Morning:

NWS says it is going to snow one to two inches in parts of Beaufort County before switching over to a wintry mix later this afternoon around or near 4:00pm. NCDOT is brining the roadways and since the majority of snow will fall during daylight hours it is believed the main roads in Beaufort County will be maintained in a wet status, with possible icy spots in areas protected by trees or less traveled. Care should be taken when traveling on secondary roads that are snow covered and careful attention should be paid to the berms of the road as they are wet and soft a very slick combination that will put you in the ditch very quickly. Ambient outside temperatures support the use of salt treatments on the roads during the day and that is good news for the travel that we need to accomplish today. If travel can be postponed until Wednesday it would be a safer alternative for our fellow employees.

Employees traveling should have adequate emergency kits in their vehicles and should be wearing appropriate attire for inclement weather. Safety is every ones concern and preparedness is the key to traveling in inclement weather. We will continue to update you on the weather as appropriate and as we get more information on the potential Winter Storm that could arrive early Thursday morning we will provide information to you.

Have a safe wintry day! Please stay Weather Aware!

However, if one believes that Beaufort County government is in full command of the issues of our times, here locally, one might need to steel their resolve for a more perfect understanding of the intellect possessed by the Center-Left /Left Coalition.
To borrow a big phrase from this salient plan originating at the federal level, under President Trump's watchful eye, whose time has finally arrived, even here in the mispent realm of Beaufort County government(s).
We must vet, and elect those who will actually represent the people or we will be stuck with the same mess we have now.
