    Mr. Norman Earl Chrismon, age 79, a resident of Bath, died Wednesday March 4, 2015, at Washington County Hospital.

    A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday March 7, 2015 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Ron Bousquet. Gary Chrismon, William Chrismon, Chris Chrismon, Richard Hodges, Troy Whitaker, Roger Winstead, Donald Lee Alligood, and Philip Whitaker will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Chrismon was born in Bath on October 28, 1935 to the late William Paul Chrismon and Lottie Dixon Chrismon. He married Mildred Louise Midgett on June 7, 1959. He served as an MP in the US Army from 1959-1965 and worked in the Newport News Shipyard from 1963-1969. He then moved back home to Bath and worked at Texas Gulf Sulfur until he retired in 1997. He loved sports, fishing, hunting, and NASCAR racing. The highlight of his life was following his children and grandchildren while participating in football, baseball/softball games and spending time with his beloved dog Sugar.

    Survivors include his loving wife, six children, Daniel Chrismon and wife Angie of Washington, Patricia McDonald and husband David of Cary, Roy Chrismon and wife Mary Jo of Washington, Douglas Chrismon of Washington, Tony Chrismon and wife Kim of Washington, and Brian Chrismon and wife Amy of Pinetown, eleven grandchildren, Nicole M. Ahlmark and husband Geoffrey, William McDonald, Cody, Erica, Alison, Amelia, McKenzie, Shaelee, Hunter, Trevor, and Austin; two great grandchildren Michael and Cameron Ahlmark; one sister Sandra Alligood and husband Donald; three brothers, Larry Chrismon and wife Ginny, Lloyd Chrismon and wife Dorinda and Donald Ray Chrismon and wife Katrina.

    Mr. Chrismon is preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood Chrismon and Dwight Chrismon, and one daughter in law Sherri.

    A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday March 6, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    The family extends their thanks to Roanoke Landing Nursing Home/ Rehabilitation Center and Washington County Hospital for their tender care of our father during his last few months.

    Flowers are welcome and memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
