    Mr. Otha Lee "Buddy Boy" Chandler, Jr., age 71 a resident of 3247 Chandler Rd., Vanceboro, NC died Tuesday March 3, 2015 at his home.

    A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Mr. Chandler was born in Beaufort County on October 13, 1943 son of the late Otha Lee Chandler, Sr. and the late Katie Frances Williams Chandler. He was a graduate of Chocowinity High School and married the former Judy Mutherspaw who survives. He was an electrician who worked all over the United States with various contractors for forty years and loved the travel his job provided him.

    Surviving along with his wife Judy of the home is a daughter: Beverly Chandler Taylor of Washington; a son: Otha L. Chandler, III of Vanceboro; two sisters: Louise Chandler of Vanceboro and Eva Elks of Columbus, Ga; two grandchildren: Gary Isaac Taylor and Lee Wayne Chandler and his best friend and canine companion Sadie. He was preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers-in-law: Holt Chandler and Richard Elks.
