    Mr. Michael Wayne "Mike" Jackson, age 61, a resident of 112 East 8th Street, Washington, NC died Sunday March 1, 2015 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington officiated by Derik Davis. Brian Padgett, Blake Harding, Jeremy Monette, Dean Watson and Greg Sisk will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his mother Juanita Jackson located at 1012 North Bonner Street, Washington, NC.

    Mr. Mike was born in Beaufort County on May 22, 1953 son of the late Albert "Piney" Jackson, Jr. and Juanita Calloway Jackson who survives. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School and married the former Wanda Jean Edwards on September 23, 1994. Mr. Mike was a salesman with Gregory Poole Equipment Company before working as a heavy equipment operator with various companies.

    Surviving along with his wife Wanda of the home and mother Juanita of Washington are three children: Shawn Jackson of Washington, Shannon Padgett and her husband Brian of Washington and Jaime Boyd and her fiancé Jeremy Monette of Greenville; a brother: Ronnie Leroy Jackson and his wife Michelle of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren: Emily Jackson, Chase Padgett and Blake Monette and his two cherished pets Sam and J.J.
