Albert L. Sir | Eastern NC Now

    Albert L. Sir, 86, of Currituck passed away Saturday March 7, 2015 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.

    A native of Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Anton Biro Sir and Harriett McLain Sir. Albert was a mining electrician for Crystal Block Coal and Coke and Dehue Mining Companies for over 40 years. He is most remembered for his unwavering strength and his love of family and music.

    He was a widower of Mary Tarquinto Sir and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anita McCoy of Logan, WV and Mrs. Yolanda Powell of White Plains, MD; two daughters, Charlotte Martin and her husband Paul of Currituck, NC, and Cindy Muscia of Kitty Hawk, NC; two grandsons and their families, Patrick and Gena Martin of Grandy, NC and Logan Muscia and fiancée, Shelby Allison and her son, Gabe Wilson of Greenville, NC; and one great grandson, Jake Austin Martin of Grandy, NC.

    Friends will be received at the home of Paul and Charlotte Martin on Friday, March 13 from 6 to 8pm. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV at a later date.
