    Miss Bonnie Janay Ward, age 20, a resident of Bath, NC died Tuesday March 10, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday March 15, 2015 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor Damon Lee. Pallbearers will be Mike Ward, Haywood Everette, Mitch Ward, Christopher Everette, Wayne Peaks and Roy Viverette.

    The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday March 14, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    Janay was born in Beaufort County on November 9, 1994 daughter of Patricia Waters Everette and Michael McCray Ward. She was a 2014 graduate of Bear Grass Charter School and was currently a student of Beaufort County Community College. Janay also was working at Convergys Company in Greenville. She loved horses and dearly loved competing in barrel racing. Her love of horses prompted her being a member of M.B.H.A and the North Carolina Barrel Racing Division 07.

    Surviving along with Janay's parents: Patricia of Bath and Mike of La Grange include a step-father Haywood Everette of Bath; her father's fiancée Connie Foy of La Grange; three brothers: Bradley Baker of Washington, Brandon Horn of London, England and Brooks Horn of Williamston and a sister: Krista Horn of Creswell.

    Janay was preceded in death by a sister: Jess Ward; her paternal grandparents: Jimmy Edgar Ward and Carlene Jessie Condrey and her maternal grandparents: Bonnie Gray Waters and Ada Leggett Waters.

    Flowers are welcome and appreciated and the family kindly asks for any memorial contributions to be made to the James & Connie Maynard Children's Hospital. Please make check payable to Vidant Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 8489, Greenville, NC 27835-8489 and notate that the donation is for the Maynard Children's Hospital.
