    Bernice Foreman Peed, age 88, a resident of 65 Four Paws Road, Aurora, NC died Monday, March 16, 2015 at her home.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday March 19, 2015 at Aurora United Methodist Church and will be officiated by Rev. Betty Jo Rodgers and Scott Peed. Burial will follow in the Dublin Grove Cemetery. Her grandsons, Scott Peed, Jeff Peed, Michael Peed, Justin Peed, Jeb Brinson and Rusty Peed will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM Thursday March 19, 2015 at Aurora United Methodist Church.

    Mrs. Peed was born in Beaufort County, NC, March 4, 1927 to the late Marvin Eugene Foreman and Marjorie Styron Foreman. She was a graduate of Aurora High School. On February 4, 1944 she married Russell Lee Peed who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. She was a World War II aircraft observer.

    Survivors include two sons, Floyd L. Peed and wife Darnell of Aurora, Michael E. Peed and wife Cheryl of York, SC; a daughter, Linda P. Brinson and husband Doyle of Southport; eight grandchildren, Scott Peed and wife Kim of Alliance,Jeffrey Peed and wife Barbara of Aurora, Michael E. Peed, Jr. and Paige of Aurora, Kimberly P. Rowe and husband Travis of Blounts Creek, Justin Peed and wife Haley of Greenville, Hilary Wilkes and husband Chris of Highlands, Jeb Brinson of Wilmington, and Rusty Peed and wife Connie of Middlesex; fourteen great grandchildren, Kristin Peed, Kara Peed, Abi Peed, Rebekah Peed, Carson Peed, Spencer Peed, Joshua Rowe, Reilly Rowe, Rachel Peed, Anna Peed, Olivia Peed, Charlie Wilkes, Annie Wilkes, Lauren Peed and David Edwards ;two brothers, Marvin E. Foreman Jr. and wife Lisa of Glendale, AZ, and Larry W. Foreman and wife Carolyn of Omaha, NE.

    She is preceded in death by a son, Russell L. Peed, Jr. and a great granddaughter, Michaiah Peed.
