David Ray Silverthorne | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. David Ray Silverthorne, age 67, a resident of 3751 Gray Road, Chocowinity, NC, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Crystal Coast Hospice in Newport, NC.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Pritchard.

    Mr. Silverthorne was born on May 22, 1947 in Beaufort County to the late Dave Archbell Silverthorne and Annie Eliza Vick Silverthorne.

    Mr. Silverthorne is survived by two children: Stephanie S. Hudson and husband, Jonathan and Jason Silverthorne and wife Jackie all of Chocowinity, four grandchildren, Madison Hudson, Mallory Hudson, Annalynn Silverthorne and EllaRae Silverthorne, two sisters, Sudie Mae Cox and husband Roland and Faye Bryant all of Washington.

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Silverthorne is preceded in death by a sister Pearl Beacham.

    The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his son, Jason Silverthorne, 3755 Gray Road, Chocowinity.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
