Mildred "Gail" Cox Liverman | Eastern NC Now

    Mildred "Gail" Cox Liverman, age 62, of Cofield, passed away on March 31, 2015 at the Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC.

    She was born on March 18, 1953 to Woodrow Cox and Lucille Harrison Walker in Ahoskie, NC. Gail worked as a dispatcher for Local Law Enforcement for many years. She enjoyed fishing, bird watching, playing bingo and the beach. Gail especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

    She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Cox, her mother, Lucille Harrison Walker and her brother Woody Cox.

    Gail is survived by her husband Mike, two sons, Brian Pierce and wife Elizabeth of Colerain, NC and Joe Peirce and wife Terry of Ahoskie, NC; two daughters, Rhonda Overton and husband Jason of Ahoskie, NC and Shannon Harrell and husband Bill of Kitty Hawk, NC; six grandsons, Joshua, Wyatt, Michael, and Luke Pierce all of Colerain, NC, Nathan Overton and Josh Adams and wife Suzanne, both of Ahoskie, NC; five granddaughters, Brittanie White and husband Mark of Aulander, NC, Tiffany Lassiter and husband Jacob of Colerain, NC, Katie Pierce of Colerain, NC, Haley and Emmy Overton both of Ahoskie, NC; a great-granddaughter, Faith Adams of Ahoskie, NC; a brother, Greg Cox and wife Susan of Washington, NC; a sister, Jamie Whitley and husband Tim of Ahoskie, NC; along with several nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will be on Friday, April 3, 2015, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.

    A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 1:00 pm at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC, with the Rev. Tripp officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC.
