    Mrs. Nancy Marie Saltsman Waters, age 74, a resident of 9702 NC Hwy. 33 E., Chocowinity, NC passed away Tuesday April 21, 2015 at her home.

    Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Saturday April 25, 2015 at Elizabeth Chapel Church of Christ and will be conducted by Kent Gurganus and Tim Tyner. Her sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Weston Family Cemetery. Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday May 16, 2015 at the Church of Christ Eastwood in Wabash, Indiana and will be conducted by Tim Tyner.

    Nancy was born in Frankfort, Indiana on May 11, 1940 to the late James and Nancy Iola Scott Saltsman. She was a 1958 graduate of Frankfort High School and attended Roanoke Bible College. On November 1, 1962 she married Howard Ray Waters who survives. She served as a civil servant with the United States Coast Guard in Washington, DC and retired as a Customer Service Manager with Walmart after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Church of Christ Eastwood and attended Elizabeth Chapel Church of Christ.

    Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Howard Ray Waters of the home, three sons, James R. Waters and wife Tracy of Bowling Green Kentucky, Tim Waters and wife Carla of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jeffray Waters and wife Kim of Chocowinity, one daughter, Amber Waters Marlow and husband Kirk of Wabash, Indiana, one sister, Joellen Carnes and husband David of Manning, South Carolina, eleven grandchildren, Arianna Waters, Alexis Waters, Ashlynn Waters, Chance Waters, Katy Fountain, Hatch Fountain, Alex Roberts, Will Roberts, Ethen Roberts, Jacob Marlow and Philip Marlow and one great granddaughter, Layla Waters. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Chuck Saltsman, Dale Saltsman, Jerry Saltsman and one sister, Norma Saltsman Reed.

    The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 am until the funeral hour at the church.
