    Mr. Elvin Lee Watson, age 83, a resident of 199 Circle Grove Farm Road, Belhaven, NC died Saturday April 25, 2015 at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Center of Washington.

    A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday April 29, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven officiated by Linwood Adams.

    The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home of his daughter, Diane, located at 199 Circle Grove Farm Road, Belhaven, NC.

    Mr. Watson was born in Hyde County on June 7, 1931 son of the late Romulus Lee Watson, Sr. and the late Leslie Agnes Dunbar Watson. He attended Hyde County Schools and married the former Ada Elizabeth Adams who preceded him in death. Later he married the former Ella Mae Sutton who also preceded him in death. Mr. Watson was a heavy equipment operator.

    Survivors include a daughter: Diane Williams and husband Perry of Belhaven; two brothers: Romulus Watson Jr. and wife Myra of Columbia and Preston Watson and wife Joyce of Plymouth; a sister: Jackie W. Meyer of Macon GA two grandchildren: Scott Williams and wife Jenna of Pantego and Amy Cordon of Bath; two great grandchildren: Coleman Williams and Levi Williams and a special friend Edith Sullivan of Bath.

    Mr. Watson was predeceased by a brother: Gilbert Watson, Sr. and three sisters: Lucille W. Adams, Sophia W. Cox and Neva W. Jones Gage.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Relay for Life of Beaufort County, Attn: Memorials, P.O. box 2708, Washington, NC 27889.
