    Roy Allen "Buddy" Jones, age 73, a resident of Vanceboro NC, passed away on April 21, 2015 at his residence.

    Mr. Jones was born in Greene County, NC on November 5, 1941 to the late George and Stella Grant Jones. On November 7, 1981, he married the former Alice Faye Hardy, who survives. He was a retired farmer and construction worker. He attended Peace Chapel Church in Chocowinity and lived most of his life in the Dudley's Crossroads Community of Vanceboro, NC.

    He is also survived by his daughters: Brenda Bowen Blanco (Carlos), Donna Bowen, Windy Bowen-Horn (David) and Cherylene Parker and grandchildren: Lani Blanco, Carter Blanco and Kevin Parker. He is also survived by his siblings: Mary Alice Teel and Cecil Jones, Sr. and special little girl, Kenleigh Hawkins.

    A graveside celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Chapmans Community Holiness Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Wayne Fornes. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations and other times at the home.
