VIDEO: European Leaders Won't Let Greeks Kill 'Cash Cow'

    RALEIGH - Leaders enriched by the European Union's "cash cow" appear unwilling to let the new Greek government takes steps that would threaten the union's viability. That's despite the fact that the Greeks and EU leaders share similar socialist ideals.

    That's the assessment of Tony Papalas, an East Carolina University professor who specializes in Greek history. Papalas makes annual trips to Greece and has followed the country's government policies closely for decades. He shared his observations Monday during a speech to the John Locke Foundation's Shaftesbury Society.
