    Mrs. Doris Cuthrell Kerr, age 87, a resident of 178 Washington Harbour, Washington, died Friday May 8, 2015 at her home.

    Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday May 11, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Travis Boyd. Howard Jones, Ron Baker and Earl Ripley will serve as pallbearers.

    Mrs. Kerr was born in Hyde County on January 14, 1928 to the late Carl and "Blanche" Swindell Cuthrell. She was a 1945 graduate of Fairfield High School and was a lifetime member of the Fairfield Christian Church. On October 18, 1947 she married John McCraken "Jack" Kerr, Jr. who preceded her in death on November 5, 1982.

    Survivors include one daughter, Ann Ross Kerr of Washignton, two grandchildren, Aaron Warner of Washington, Angie Kerr of Washington and two great grandchildren, Evan Kerr-Brooks and Jackson Kerr- Brooks. She was preceded in death by her son, John Carl Kerr and her sister, Masil C. Jones.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the graveside service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
