Constance "Connie" Cuthrell | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Constance Anita Midyette "Connie" Cuthrell, age 82, a resident of 234 Riverside Road, Washington, NC died Sunday July 12, 2015 at Ridgewood Nursing Center.

    A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Dr. Greg Barmer. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Barry Swindell, Ronnie Swindell, Johnny Swindell, Anthony Sawyer, Harry Sawyer and Michael Swindell will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.

    Mrs. Connie was born in Hyde County on March 17, 1933 daughter of the late John Samuel Midyette and the late Ludie Dell Mason Midyette. She was a graduate of Sladesville School in Hyde County and continued her education at a business school in Greenville. On June 21, 1960 she married Jerry Hal Cuthrell who survives. She served as secretary and treasurer of J.H. Cuthrell Company of Washington. Mrs. Connie was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington.

    Surviving along with her husband: Jerry of the home is a son: David Burbage Cuthrell of Carrboro, NC. She was predeceased by four brothers: Cyril Midyette, Vernon Midyette, William "Bill" Midyette and Floyd Midyette and three sisters: Cora Lee Whitehurst, Carmen Swindell and Kathleen Flowers.
