Florida Southern prof urges business schools to focus on free enterprise


    RALEIGH     Freedom plays a critical role in boosting economic growth and personal income, including the incomes of the poorest members of society. But business schools do a poor job teaching the benefits of free enterprise.

    That's the assessment of Dr. Derek Yonai, who spent 10 years overseeing free-enterprise education at Campbell University and now directs the Center for Free Enterprise at Florida Southern College. Yonai touted the importance of free-enterprise education during a speech Monday to the John Locke Foundation's Shaftesbury Society.
