Arthur "Art" Reams | Eastern NC Now

    Arthur "Art" Blair Reams, age 72, a resident of 121 Fairway Drive, Washington, NC, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, August 24, 2015.

    A funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Friday, August 28, 2015 at Macedonia Christian Church, 7640 US Highway 17, Williamston, NC 27892 and will be officiated by Greg Sexton. Burial will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville, NC.

    The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 1:30pm Friday, August 28, 2015 at Macedonia Christian Church.

    Art was born in Centre County, PA on November 8, 1942 to the late Leonard Blair Reams and Bertha Ella Gonder. He was a 48 year member of the Moose Lodge. Art enjoyed working in the yard, helping out at his church, watching western movies and was a John Wayne fan. He was described as a simple man with a dry wit sense of humor and loved by his family.

    In addition to his wife Carolyn, Art is survived by two sons, Shaun Reams and wife Sarah of Candler, NC, Brandon Reams of Jacksonville, FL, two daughters, Denise Watters and husband Tony of Washington, NC Wendy Papa and husband Scott of Newport, NC, six grandchildren, one sister, Florence Bryan of New Port Richey, FL, four brothers, Chuck Reams and wife Wallie, of Erie, PA, Rick Reams of New Port Richey, FL, Joe Reams and wife Anita of Morrisdale, PA, and Jim Reams and wife Nancy of Bandera, TX.
