    Mrs. Ella Mae Lilley Dail, age 80, a resident of 3353 John Small Ave., Washington, died Thursday, August 27, 2015, at her home.

    Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday August 30, 2015 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Pastor Danny Barrow officiating.

    Jesse R. Dail, Milton Dail Jr., Robert Dail, Pat Cleve, Alan Meekins, Danny Cox & Johnny Howard will serve as honorary pallbearers.

    Mrs. Dail was born in Beaufort County on Oct. 19, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Elijah L. Lilley and Alice H. Lilley. She managed several rental properties in the Washington area for 30 years as well as being a homemaker. Mrs. Dail enjoyed yardwork, cooking for her family and at one time maintained a 1/4 acre garden.

    On April 14, 1967, she married Jesse Woolard Dail, who preceded her in death on November 13, 1997.

    She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Milton Ray and Betty Faye Dail of Washington; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie Dail and William B. Cherry of Washington; eight grandchildren, Jesse R. Dail and wife Casey, Milton Dail Jr., Robert Dail, Rebecca Dail, Will Cherry, Sara Jensen and husband Chuck, Amanda Taylor and April Cherry; and six great grandchildren.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, and at other times at the home, 3353 John Small Ave., Washington.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 641 River Road, Washington, N.C. 27889.
