Jacob "Ryan" Schmitt | Eastern NC Now

    Jacob "Ryan" Schmitt, age 38, a resident of Washington, NC died Tuesday September 1, 2015 with his family at his side.

    A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday September 4, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church of Washington. The service will be officiated by Rev. Lee Kinney.

    The family will receive friends following the service Friday at the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church.

    Ryan was born in Beaufort County on July 11, 1977 son of Charles Rodney "Roddy" Schmitt and Ruth Marie Paul Schmitt. He was a 1995 graduate of Washington High School. Ryan was a clock repairman and salesman at Schmitt's Inc., his family's business. He also had worked at many area restaurants as a cook. Ryan was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Washington.

    Survivors include his parents: Roddy and Ruth Schmitt of Washington and his maternal grandmother: Doris M. Bonner of Winterville. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather: Clarence Paul and his paternal grandparents: N. J. and Louise Schmitt.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to the charity of one's choice.
