    Mrs. Janice Jordan Rhodes, age 71, a resident of 120 Palmer Place, Washington, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

    Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be conducted by Rev. Jimmy Johnson. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

    Mrs. Rhodes was born in Beaufort County on March 28, 1944 to the late George Otis Jordan and Avis Midyette Jordan. On July 7, 1972 she married Lowell Minton Rhodes who preceded her in death on March 4, 2014. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper.

    Survivors include two daughters, Audree Davis Parker and husband Alton of Bath, Amy Davis Sasnett and husband Paul of Washington, two step sons, Lowell Rhodes and wife Lea of High Point, Greg Rhodes of Pittsburgh, PA, five grandchildren, Candice Sasnett, Amanda Sasnett, Kassie Sasnett, Trevor Rhodes, Ashlyn Rhodes and one sister, Delores Woodward and husband Bobby of Belhaven. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ethan "Reid" Sasnett her Reidman.

    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
