    Mr. Donald Gray Alligood, Sr., age 69, a resident of 4786 River Road, Washington died Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

    Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2015 at First Free Will Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor Todd Parrish. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his son, Donald Alligood, Jr., 80 Philipe Court, Chocowinity.

    Mr. Alligood was born in Beaufort County on October 28, 1945 to the late James "JD" and Ruth Asby Alligood. He served in the National Guard, worked in the heating and air conditioning business for many years, enjoyed fishing and loved his family. Mr. Alligood was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors include three sons, Donald Gray Alligood, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Chocowinity, Michael Allen Alligood and wife Stephanie of Washington, Timothy Wayne Alligood and wife Ashley of New Bern, one brother, Melvin Alligood and Janet of Chocowinity, five sisters, Viva Watson and husband Franklin of Washington, Linda Alligood of Washington, Kay Latham and husband Del of Washington, Faye Alligood of Grimesland, Sandie Alligood of Chocowinity and seven grandchildren, Alexa, Donald III, Trevor, Lincoln, Luke, Nolan and Jackson Alligood. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Alligood and Ronald Alligood, Sr.

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 901 N. Bonner St., Washington, NC 27889.
